CONDOR CANYON – CHONTA

We depart from the city of Cusco 8:00 a.m. in our completely comfortable mobility, taking the route Cusco – Limatambo, by an asphalt route until reaching the ramp of Ancawasi and from this point we will accede to the highest mountain, the Apu Pucara 3900 m s n m. For a road that will take us to the community of Chonta 3400 mall where we can use the toilet, then walk for about an hour by a trail to the viewpoint of Huaco, which is located on the right bank of the canyon Apurímac. To finally reach the viewpoint and from there observe the majestic flight of the Condors. That leaves us more than surprised.

At this point we will have the opportunity to appreciate the impressive valley and canyon of the most mighty river of South America in addition to the second largest bird in the world and sacred of the Incas in their natural state, which as adults can measure up to more than 3 Meters long with wings extended also there is opportunity to observe many birds such as Eagles, Falcons and with luck the White-tailed Deer, Puma, Andean Fox and Vizcachas.
